As designers I believe that our goals are:

Our operations started in 2014 with Izabela Katafoni working in a residential sector and as a certified Passive House Designer bringing the performance of the projects to a higher level. With a few awards wins in 2018 for Best Residential Design under $500k in the state and in the country, commendation for Best Interior Design in WA and Green Smart Project Home of the Year 2018 she has marked her place on the WA market. Her European background forms a solid base for her understanding on how to design efficiently and with a purpose. Izabela is very practical and good at putting herself in the client’s shoes.
During 2020 - 2023 we have been operating as Studio Origami Architects together with Javier Ayora who was the registered architect in the company. We have managed to incorporate many improvements throughout the operations of our business and will continue to do so while Javi is now moving towards other ventures.
Fundamental to Studio Origami practice is the exploration of improved sustainability, saving costs, reduced consumption, and improved energy efficiency to provide a healthy built environment for us and our planet. We want to balance the system by working symbiotically with the natural environment. We want a sustainable future for our kids and their kids. Based in Perth Hills we want to offer our clients an outstanding design service with great importance on creating a beautiful and meaningful space
